The primary responsibility of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Agency is to plan, implement, and evaluate the EMS system in Imperial County. The EMS system incorporates ambulance companies, hospitals, fire departments, police departments and other public and private providers into an integrated and coordinated system of services.
