Imperial County Public Health Department Director Announces Selection to the Initial Imperial Valley Healthcare District Board of Directors
The Imperial County Public Health Department has announced the appointment of Arturo Proctor to the initial Board of Directors of the newly established Imperial Valley Healthcare District. Mr. Proctor will represent the City of El Centro on the initial seven-member Board of Directors authorized by Assembly Bill (AB) 918. This bill outlines the formation of the Imperial Valley Healthcare District and the appointment of its initial board members, including one member appointed by the Imperial County Public Health Department Director.
Arturo Proctor, a resident of El Centro and retired law enforcement leader, brings a wealth of knowledge, experience in community service, and a commitment to public safety. He has a clear understanding of the emergency medical services needs within the Imperial Valley, and his unique perspective will be valuable to the Imperial Valley Healthcare District as it works to advance healthcare in our region.

Arturo Proctor was selected from a pool of seven candidates who applied for this initial Board seat.
