Retail Food Facility Workshop
The Imperial County Board of Supervisors approved and adopted the recommendations of a Cost of Services User Fee Study Final Report as presented by Wohlford Consulting on June 14, 2022. The Environmental Health Division reviewed the study along current division fees and operations.
In addition, the Environmental Health Division has developed a Retail Food Facility Grading and Inspection Guide, which is intended to provide guidance to food service operators in matters related to the retail food facility inspection process, inspection report, and grading program. Brick and mortar food facilities will be scored and issued a corresponding letter grade. An overview and possible implementation date for the grading program will be presented at the workshop.
