The Imperial County Division of Environmental Health (DEH) and the Imperial Irrigation District (IID) have launched the Point of Entry (POE) pilot project for Imperial Valley residents to improve access to safer water. A POE system provides filtration and disinfection to all plumbed water entering a home. Residents enrolled in IID’s Water Delivery Assistance Program who rely on untreated water will be eligible to receive a POE system installed and maintained at no cost during the pilot project.
