The Imperial County Public Health Department Vital Statistics Office maintains records of birth and death events that occur within the County of Imperial. Please note that the Public Health Department issues certified copies of birth certificates for 0-2 years only. For birth certificates for age 2 years and older, please contact the Imperial County Clerk/Recorder's Office at (442) 265-1077.
Our office issues death certificates that have occurred from 2005 to current year.To obtain birth or death certificates for a prior time period, please contact the Imperial County Clerk/Recorder's Office at (442) 265-1077.

Birth Certificates $29.00 Death Certificates $24.00 Burial Permits $12.00 Requests By Mail To request a copy of a birth or death certificate by mail, please print and complete the appropriate application. (Birth & Death Certificate Applications)
Please note that State Law requires all request by mail include a notarized sworn statement of identity. Please make check or money order payable to Imperial County Public Health Department.
